Synopsis
Story about the life of Rupa, a village outcast who has burnt her
face on one side thereby disfiguring her beauty. She is overheard by
Rajeev singing in the temple. Seen only through her veil he falls in
love with her and marries her. After they are married he realises
the truth and leaves her. He goes through many experiences and
finally realises that internal beauty is more important.....

It has been a great pleasure to watch one of
Raj Kapoor's masterpiece Satyam Shiyam Sundaram on DVD starring
India's beauty queen Zeenat Aman along with Dashing Shashi Kapoor.
Zeenat plays a scarred face village girl with a heart of gold and
her performance in emotional scenes is tremendously portrayed, no
doubt Raj Kapoor is considered The Greatest Showman as well as The
Women's Director and Satyam Shivam Sundaram is his landmark amongst
his other releases. The Milesstone Music rendered by Laxmikant
Pyarelal is all time classic such as the title song , suni jo unki,
sayan nikas gaye ... to name a few. All in all Satyam Shivam
Sundaram is a must watch film which has got brilliant scenes, music
and performances by ZeenatAman, Shashi Kapoor along with the rest of
the cast.
